Job Description:
As an Electrical Engineer, you will work under the guidance of a Senior Engineer to design and analyze electrical systems, contributing to the development of complex infrastructure projects. This role involves the design of electrical distribution, grounding, back-up power, general power distribution, lighting design and control, fire alarm systems, and lightning protection. You will also collaborate with architects and engineers from other disciplines to ensure cohesive and effective project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Design electrical systems, including electrical distribution, grounding, back-up power, general power distribution, lighting design and control, fire alarm, and lightning protection systems, under the guidance of a professional engineer.Perform system design calculations and analyze electrical distribution options.Review and become proficient in relevant building codes and standards.Prepare detailed design documents, including power, lighting, and fire alarm system drawings.Coordinate work with architects and engineers from other disciplines.Develop schematics, one-line diagrams, contract documents, and technical reports.Collaborate with team members to ensure the successful implementation of projects.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.Proven experience designing electrical systems such as power distribution, back-up power, lighting systems, fire alarm systems, and lightning protection systems.Experience in infrastructure projects, including healthcare, data centers, central plants, and municipal systems.Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and Revit.Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC) and relevant building codes and standards.Experience with ATS (Automatic Transfer Switches).Ability to prepare technical documents, such as schematics, one-line diagrams, and reports.Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills.A self-motivated team player with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.Preferred Qualifications:
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.Revit experience.Interest in sustainable design practices and innovative engineering solutions.Experience Level: Intermediate

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $80.00/hr.
