Field Service Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as the technical lead for all engineering activities in assignments. Each day, you will ensure the activities related to all engineering disciplines within the project are executed in an efficient and cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by acting as a design authority for a particular engineering discipline and completing the corresponding engineering assignments.The work model for the role is: {onsite/hybrid/remote} {insert Linkedin #}This role is contributing to the Electrification Service division in {insert region}. Main stakeholders are {insert main stakeholder groups if available}.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tCollaborating on project installation, commissioning, and site activities, to clarify potential issues or provide solutions to rectify the engineering errors.•\tCoaching the project engineers and designers on the translation of conceptual designs to engineering documentation, including modelling, prototyping, and calculations.•\tLeading, supervising, and coordinating teams (less than 10 members) in all engineering disciplines (both in-house and outsourced) on projects.•\tApplying design thinking or design for excellence concepts in projects, including modelling, prototyping, simulation, and calculations.Our team dynamicsYou will join a {insert adjectives – e.g. dynamic, talented, high performing} team, where you will be able to thrive.

Qualifications for the role

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (OR High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 5 additional years of related electrical design engineering experience).Ability and willingness to possess and maintain a valid passport and driver's license. Knowledge of industrial customer base in geographical area preferred.Technical skills in the design and testing of power distribution and delivery to include MCC’s, VFD’s, Electrical Control and relay Panels, AC/DC Starters.Technical skills in testing, commissioning, startup and troubleshooting of Low voltage control systems and Programmable Logic controllers a plus.Computer skills with AutoCAD.Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
