Electrical Designer / Revit Technician – Indianapolis, IN

We are actively hiring an Electrical Designer to work with the Electrical Department of a reputable firm on the Southeast side of Indianapolis, IN! This person will primarily utilize Revit and support Electrical Systems within Water / Wastewater Treatment facilities. This team consists of 5 individuals, including 4 Engineers and 1 Designer. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with at least a couple years of Electrical Drafting / Design experience to work on interesting and complex projects with a successful firm in a recession-proof industry. Job Responsibilities: 

Support the Electrical System Design for Water / Wastewater Treatment Facilities, with some additional tasks in Mechanical and Plumbing as needed.Conduct Electrical System Design for Power Distribution; Motor Control; Grounding and Lightening Protection; Exterior and Interior Lighting; Standby Power Generation Systems; and MCC Design.Design and Model entire projects in all specialties: HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Process Piping, Machine or Equipment Layout, Structural, and Architectural.

Job Requirements:

2+ Years of Electrical Drafting and/or Design Experience2+ Years of Revit and AutoCAD in a Professional SettingPreferred - Degree in Electrical Engineering TechnologyPreferred - Controls Design Experience

Miscellaneous: 

Standard schedule will include Monday through Thursday from 7am to 5pm EST; plus Friday from 7am to 11am EST. Candidates are welcomed to work Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm EST, if they prefer. Employees average between 44-45 hours per week.This person will have the ability to work both in-office and out-of-office, as some responsibilities may require site visits for field measurements and data.This person will work with some of the state's top engineers and will have the ability to continuously train and development under their leadership.Water/Wastewater Engineering is a government-funded and recession-proof industry that makes a significant impact on our society. Revit Specialist I = $21.00/hour to $28.50/hourKnows AutoCAD and maybe a little RevitStill needs to learn about Treatment PlantsRevit Specialist II = $28.00/hour to $35.50/hour3+ years of experience with AutoCAD and RevitStill needs to learn about Treatment PlantsRevit Specialist III = $35.50/hour to $41.50/hour5-10 years of Revit Drafting and Design experienceSignificant Electrical Design experienceAbility to Train and Mentor othersDesigner I = $38.50/hour to $45.00/hour10-15 years of experience in Electrical Drafting and DesignAbility to complete entire Project Layout with minimal input from EngineersAbility to complete Calculations and run Engineering Modeling ProgramsDesigner II = $45.00/hour to $50.00/hourSame as Designer I with more experience
