Job Title: Electrical Design Drafter with Natural Gas Experience

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Design Drafter to join our team. The successful candidate will work under the direction of design engineers to develop project design drawing requirements, ensuring the completion of design packages necessary for the construction of pipeline, compressor, and measurement/regulator facilities.

ResponsibilitiesWork under the direction of design engineers to develop project design drawing requirements.Draft and design electrical/instrumentation drawings, including schematics, equipment layout, panel layout, and cable & conduit design/schedules.Prepare multiple view drawings and details.Provide design engineering personnel with drawings and supporting records for evaluating the project design relative to feasibility and effectiveness of the facility layout.Ensure proper dimensioning, completeness of material quantities and specifications, and design needs relative to regulatory and industry codes.Schedule conduit and cable.Layout panels.Create single line wiring diagrams.Design hazardous area layouts.Essential SkillsProficiency in electrical design and AutoCAD, & Plant3D.Experience in the oil & gas industry, particularly with compressor stations.Strong understanding of electrical standards, schematic designs and Revit.Ability to prepare detailed drawings and multiple view drawings.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociate degree in an engineering or scientific discipline or specialized courses in drafting, design & engineering practices.3+ years of related experience in pipeline/natural gas.Proficiency in AutoCAD.Work Environment

This is a remote work environment. You will join a group of 4 other designers and collaborate closely with engineers. This position offers the opportunity to support and work for one of the largest natural gas suppliers in the Northeast Region, engaging in a variety of projects including compressor stations and master meter projects.
