Job Description
Our Client is seeking an experienced Electrical/Instrumentation Designer to join their team. This position involves working under the direction of design engineers to develop project design drawing requirements necessary for the construction of pipeline, compressor, and measurement/regulator facilities. You will be responsible for drafting and designing electrical/instrumentation drawings, ensuring proper dimensioning, completeness of material quantities and specifications, and design needs relative to regulatory and industry codes.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop project design drawing requirements to assure the completion of design packages necessary for construction projects.Draft and design electrical/instrumentation drawings including schematics, equipment layout, panel layout, cable, and conduit design/schedules.Prepare multiple view drawings and details.Provide design engineering personnel with drawings and supporting records for project design evaluation.Ensure proper dimensioning, completeness of material quantities and specifications, and design needs relative to regulatory and industry codes.Conduit and cable scheduling.Create panel layouts.Develop single line wiring diagrams.Design hazardous area layouts.Essential SkillsElectrical designAutoCADExperience in Oil & Gas industryExperience with compressor stationsProficiency in schematic designRevitAutoCAD ElectricalAdditional Skills & QualificationsAssociate degree in an engineering or scientific discipline, or specialized courses in drafting, design, and engineering practices3+ years of related experience in Pipeline/Natural Gas industryWork Environment
This is a remote work environment. You will be joining a group of 4 other designers and will work closely with engineers. This position offers the opportunity to support and work for one of the largest natural gas suppliers in the Northeast Region, and to work on a variety of projects including compressor stations and master meter projects.
