Electrical Designer
Job Title: Electrical Engineer/Designer

Job Description

We are seeking a full-time electrical engineer or electrical designer with at least 3 years of experience to support the growth and expansion of our business. The position would start as an 'electrical engineer/designer' and potentially progress over time to 'project manager' or 'project engineer'.

ResponsibilitiesDesign electrical systems for commercial, office, retail, healthcare, and other project types.Apply design knowledge in power distribution, grounding, lighting, control systems, and equipment specifications and selections.Prepare schematics for various systems.Collaborate with all disciplines to achieve completed coordinated design and review the work of others.Perform on-site investigations to confirm existing conditions.Develop familiarity with current electrical codes and standards.Form relationships with personnel of other disciplines (architectural, electrical, structural civil, etc.) and manufacturing sales representatives.Prepare general and electrical specifications.Essential SkillsInterpersonal skills to work effectively with others.Familiarity with system-specific materials, components, and systems.Basic knowledge of high mathematics relative to the work.Oral and written communication skills.Analytical ability to solve complex problems.Working knowledge of AutoCAD.Working knowledge of REVIT is desired but not required.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociate's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering OR equivalent experience.3 years of on-the-job experience as a Mechanical Engineer/Designer or Electrical Engineer/Designer for building systems.Experience in producing construction documents for commercial building projects or retail projects using AutoCAD & Revit.Knowledge of engineering calculations.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $85000.00
