Job Title: Electrical Designer Job Description We are seeking an experienced Electrical Designer responsible for power distribution, low voltage infrastructure design for IT and security systems, lighting design including fixture selection and controls, and low-voltage systems such as fire alarm, security, and controls. The role also involves calculating loads, fault current, and voltage drop, performing field surveys, and providing construction phase support. Responsibilities + Design power distribution systems, including riser diagrams and panel schedules. + Develop low voltage infrastructure for IT and security systems. + Create lighting designs, including fixture selection, controls, and lighting calculations. + Design low-voltage systems such as fire alarms, security, and controls. + Calculate loads, fault current, and voltage drop. + Perform field surveys and provide support during the construction phase. Essential Skills + Proficiency in Revit. + Experience in electrical design and lighting design. + Experience in power distribution and low-voltage systems. + Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and standard industry design practices. + Strong teamwork, communication, and client relationship skills. + Ability to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. + Strong work ethic and solid organizational skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience working on capital expenditure projects. + Experience supporting large-scale clients. + Willingness to relocate to Lawrence with relocation packages available. Work Environment You will be working in an office with 15 employees, characterized by a bullpen-like setting that is very family-oriented.
