Job Title: Electrical Designer
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Designer to join our team in Springfield, IL. You will work closely with project engineers to refine design specifications and complete lighting, power, and data layouts. Your role will involve performing COM-Check calculations, assisting with revisions, creating punch lists, and preparing addendum drawings.
Responsibilities
+ Work with project engineers to refine design specifications
+ Complete lighting, power, and data layouts
+ Perform COM-Check calculations
+ Assist project engineers with revisions, punch lists, and addendum drawings
Essential Skills
+ Electrical design experience
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD for lighting, power, data, and systems layouts
+ Knowledge of Building and Electrical codes
+ Minimum of an Associate's degree
+ 3+ years of experience (flexible)
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with Revit, AutoCAD Electrical, BIM360, and Bluebeam
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office
+ EIT or PE certification (unlicensed designers will be considered)
+ Familiarity with BIM360, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office (preferred)
+ Experience with Revit MEP (preferred)
+ Experience in overseeing a design project's life cycle
Work Environment
You will be part of a tight-knit team of 9, based in Springfield, and will report to the Lead Electrical Engineer. The position offers a hybrid work schedule after a 60-90 day period, allowing for 2-3 days of remote work. The office environment is supportive, and there are opportunities for professional growth and development. We also offer support for obtaining exams and professional memberships.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $34.50 - $44.23/hr.
