Job Title: Electrical Designer
Location: Orlando, FL
Job Description: As an Electrical Designer, you'll be at the core of our engineering team, creating and maintaining detailed electrical drawings. Your expertise in CAD and knowledge of electrical components and manufacturing processes will be essential. You'll also help establish CAD and drafting standards, working closely with engineers to address design challenges. This role requires a versatile professional who can handle a variety of electrical tasks, including redlining updates to existing attractions and updating drawings.
Responsibilities:
+ Create and interpret electrical control system designs, including layouts, schematics, and illustrations.
+ Collaborate with engineers to ensure technical accuracy and integrate design requirements.
+ Design electro-mechanical packaging for industrial control panels and enclosures.
+ Select components from preferred manufacturers and prepare detailed AutoCAD drawings.
+ Ensure compliance with UL508a, NEC, and ANSI Y14.5 standards.
+ Present and review designs with engineers and participate in meetings.
+ Model equipment locations using Revit.
+ Deliver comprehensive production drawings, bills of material, wiring diagrams, and equipment lists.
+ Manage and release drawings into internal data systems.
+ Review engineering drawings for consistency with drafting standards.
+ Design multi-layer PCB assemblies based on schematics.
+ Redline updates to existing attractions and update drawings accordingly.
Qualifications:
+ 3-5 years of experience in control systems design for electromechanical systems.
+ In-depth knowledge of industrial control panel design and components (PLCs, VFDs, etc.).
+ Familiarity with electrical and mechanical design standards (UL508a, NEC, ANSI Y14.5).
+ Proficiency in developing electrical assemblies, schematics, and diagrams.
+ Advanced 2D CAD skills using AutoCAD.
+ Experience in model and drawing revision control.
+ Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel).
+ Strong multitasking and teamwork abilities.
+ Excellent communication skills.
+ Focus on electronics/electrical design; mechanical design candidates not required.
+ AutoCAD proficiency is essential; SolidWorks is a plus but not mandatory.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $40.00/hr.
