The primary role of the Electrical Designer/Drafter under the direction of the Sr. Controls Engineer is to create detailed drawings for the electrical power (120VAC and up), controls (24VDC), and panel designs developed by Pillar Innovations. They will also generate supplementary documents in Excel, including IO lists, load lists, cable schedules, conduit schedules, and more.
The Electrical Designer/Drafter will report to the Sr. Controls Engineer and will work primarily out of the Morgantown location with roughly 30% field time.
What You'll Do Interpret engineered drawings / models to create detailed drawings Use computer-aided design (CAD) software, including AutoCAD, to generate 2D design layouts and electrical wiring diagramsCreate and modify existing drawings as directed by engineers and management teamCreate accurate BOMs (Bill of Materials)Organize and plan work tasks to meet company goalsDevelop and maintain spreadsheet documentation that supports electrical design packagesCollaborate with engineers to produce customer-facing documentation, such as functional diagrams and user manualsEnsure proper documentation and file management in accordance with quality control standards What You'll Bring Valid driver’s license requiredAssociates Degree in Drafting /Electrical Engineering from a Technical School or College, or Equivalent experience preferredElectrical estimating experience is preferredMust have the ability to work independently, adhering to general procedures and objectivesAbility to collaborate effectively in fast-paced, evolving team environmentsAbility to be flexible and shift priorities quicklyAbility to meet deadlinesAbility to follow directions and a keen attention to detailMust be skilled at managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlinesAbility to effectively communicate with co-workers, customers and vendorsMust possess strong verbal and written communication abilities, with a proven capacity to maintain professionalism in interactions with colleagues and clientsMust be reliable, responsible, and maintain a positive and proactive mindsetWilling and able to work a flexible schedule that includes extended hoursWorking Conditions
