Position OverviewKiewit Power Delivery is a leading engineering firm seeking a Designer with Revit experience specializing in projects cable tray design. We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Electrical Designer to join our team. As an Electrical Designer, you will play a crucial role in creating accurate 3D models and detailed design documentation for cable tray systems.

This position is based in: Houston, TX, The Woodlands, TX, Lenexa, KS, Raleigh, NC, San Diego, CA, Portland, OR.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities:
1. Modeling and Design:
o Create 2D and 3D building designs using Autodesk Revit software.
o Develop detailed blueprints for cable tray systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
o Collaborate closely with architects, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate cable trays seamlessly into the overall design.
2. Cable Tray Design:
o Design cable trays for large scale projects, considering factors such as load capacity, spacing, and installation requirements.
o Specify appropriate materials and dimensions for cable trays based on project specifications.
o Ensure proper alignment with other building systems (electrical, mechanical, etc.).
3. Project Documentation:
o Generate detailed drawings, schematics, and layouts for cable trays.
o Review and approve design plans, making necessary adjustments as needed.
o Maintain accurate records of design changes and revisions.
4. Coordination and Communication:
o Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to coordinate cable tray installation.
o Participate in project meetings and provide technical expertise related to cable tray design.
5. Quality Assurance:
o Perform quality checks on Revit models and drawings to identify any discrepancies or errors.
o Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years’ experience in CAD/BIM design and production of design documents
• Associate degree in Computer Aided Design, Engineering Technology, or similar program experience
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and other relevant design software.
• Preferred experience designing cable trays for HVDC projects.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
