As an Electrical Designer, you will be responsible for designing the control and power electrical systems within Trane’s Arctic product line. This role will include new product development as well as design-to-order electrical schematics and modeling. This position is eligible for a Hybrid work schedule (3 or more days onsite a week) and will be based out of our La Crosse, WI location. **RESPONSIBILITIES** + Produces designs and documentation utilizing computer design and product life cycle management systems. + Documentation of parts and bills of materials. + Develop a good working knowledge and familiarity of design and drafting standard practices, methods, and processes. + Work from oral engineering instructions or written procedures, schematics, drawings, and sketches. + Ability to lead small segments of large projects with responsibility for completion of assignments. Exercise sound judgment in recognition of potential design problems. Detects and corrects own errors. + Maintains competency level of computer aided graphic system and other applications through company provided training and materials. + May direct and coordinate work activity of junior personnel or provide administrative assistance. + May be required to travel to various locations to support products or train other personnel. Anticipated travel time ~ 5% **QUALIFICATIONS** + Associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Design from an accredited technical school a recommended two (2) years of design experience or five (5) years of Trane or Climate Solutions practical experience. + Understands basic principles of designing equipment, drafting and computer aided design and applies principles to assigned tasks. + Working knowledge of computer aided graphic system. + 3D Electrical harness design experience preferred. + Electrical Schematic understanding preferred. + PTC Creo skillset preferred Base Pay Range: $46,000 – $64,600/ year Disclaimer: This "range" could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed, education, experience, travel requirements for the job, or because of a system the employer uses to measure earnings by quantity or quality of production (so, for example, positions that may not have traditional salary ranges). *Benefits vary by region, business alignment, union involvement and employee status.
