Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Electrical Drafter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing electrical schematics, bill of materials, and layouts to support the procurement and installation of electrical control systems. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical design principles, codes, and standards, along with proficiency in relevant software tools.
ResponsibilitiesReview detailed electrical schematics, bill of materials, and layouts based on project specifications and design standards.Collaborate with controls engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and ensure accuracy in design documentation.Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) to create and modify electrical designs.Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal electrical codes and regulations.Perform quality checks on drawings and documentation to maintain high standards of accuracy.Assist in the preparation of project estimates and material lists.Find replacements for long lead time or obsolete parts.Essential Skills3+ years' experience with Electrical DraftingProficiency with AutoCAD or AutoCAD ElectricalKnowledge of electrical codes and standards (NEC, UL)Experience with electrical design, schematics, and draftingAdditional Skills & QualificationsStrong attention to detailEffective collaboration and communication skillsExperience with UL, BOM, and design standardsWork Environment
The position is based in an office/cubicle setting with manufacturing onsite. This is a 100% onsite position with regular overtime offered (typical week is 45 hours). The company provides flexible start times and is family-owned with approximately 100 employees.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
