Job Title: Electrical Drafter
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Drafter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed electrical schematics, control panel designs, and panel sub-plate layouts using AutoCAD. This role also involves various engineering administrative tasks, including inventory management, shipping and receiving electrical components, and minor office maintenance.

ResponsibilitiesDesign control panels and electrical schematics using AutoCAD.Draft panel sub-plate layouts.Create lockout tagout diagrams for plant safety on panels.Create and manage panel tags.Handle shipping and receiving of electrical components and electronics.Operate a pallet jack to unload pallets.Manage inventory of electrical components.File expense reports.Manage plant passes and safety training.Perform minor office maintenance.Purchase office supplies.Essential SkillsProficiency in AutoCAD Electrical.Experience in electrical schematics and drafting.Knowledge of conveyor systems, electrical control circuits, and Allen-Bradley components.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociate's degree in Engineering.Experience with circuit design, panel layout, wiring diagrams, and field layouts.Hands-on experience with electrical and electronic components used in control systems.Experience in shipping, receiving, or inventory management is beneficial.Work Environment

The office environment is casual and engaging, but it can become intense during project deadlines. The primary customer is a demanding automotive client. The role is based in an engineering office near the Ford Kentucky Truck Plant. Safety gear such as vests, glasses, Kevlar sleeves, and earplugs are required when working at the plant. Flexibility in working hours is essential, as long days and weekends may be necessary to meet deadlines. The standard work schedule is first shift, 40 hours per week, with potential for over 60 hours per week during shutdown periods.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
