ELECTRICAL ENGINEER, GATEWAY GROUND STATIONS (STARLINK)
SpaceX is designing, building, and deploying the world’s largest and highest performing network of ground station antennas – the Starlink gateways. Through our gateways, the Starlink satellite constellation is filling in the gaps in global connectivity. Do you want to build the next era of the Internet?
We are looking for creative and driven engineers to solve issues affecting sites and antenna availability. You will become an expert in the hardware, software and operations of our gateways. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Diagnose performance and reliability issues through telemetry, testing, and hands-on debugging Develop fixes, prove them out in the field, and train our field specialists in the procedures Build software solutions to monitor gateway and site health and to improve hardware autonomy Work across teams to eliminate failure modes through hardware, software, and operations changesBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, aerospace engineering, or similar STEM discipline 1+ year of experience working on hardware focused controls, electrical, or software engineering projects (including student engineering projects or internship experience)PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Demonstrated ability to take initiative, communicate effectively, and work both independently and within a team Experience with hands-on troubleshooting and debugging of mechanical or electrical hardware Any of the following is a bonus: Experience with the design and analysis of closed loop control systems Experience with the design and troubleshooting of PCBAs Experience applying quality tools such as design of experiments, statistical process control, root cause analysis and corrective action, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and various problem-solving approaches to difficult real-world problems Proficiency with programming and automation/scripting languages (Python, C, C++, SQL) Experience with business reporting software (Tableau, Periscope, PowerBI, etc.) Fluency with languages in addition to EnglishADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Pay range:
Electrical Test Engineer/Level I: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00/per year
Electrical Test Engineer/Level II: $115,000.00 - $135,000.00/per year
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
