Job Description
The primary role of an Electrical Engineer 2 is to design, develop, test, or supervise the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use. The ideal candidate will have the ability to create engineering drawings and interpret blueprints.
ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and test the manufacture of electrical equipment including machinery controls, wiring, and lighting.Evaluate the cost-effectiveness, reliability, and safety of certain design models.Estimate time and cost to complete projects.Simulate and test machine/structure/system operation.Investigate and test vendors' and competitors' products.Essential SkillsCreativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability.Team player and detail-oriented.Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings, and common computations.Ability to perform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction, and installation standards.Ability to apply principles of electrical theory to engineering projects.Previous experience with computer applications and design software related to the engineering field.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering required.2-4 years of experience required.Experience with ladder logic, networking protocols, switchgear, PLC, AB, HMI, schematics, blueprint reading, troubleshooting, and drawings.Work Environment
This role may require travel 30-50% of the time. The work environment involves working with advanced technologies and equipment in both office and field settings. The position may require adherence to specific dress codes depending on the project location and safety requirements.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00
