Next Generation Spectacles are our first pair of glasses that bring augmented reality to life. We're looking for an Electrical Engineer to join the Snap Lab team! What you’ll do: + Analyze, develop processes and define metrics for power integrity for custom integrated circuits + Analyze board level and silicon level simulations of power networks + Measure power network using a vector network analyzer (VNC), TDR, or equivalent lab equipment + Collaborate with PD, EE and RF teams to make system design tradeoffs for placement, signal integrity, power integrity and power distribution in a highly constrained form-factor design + Define, design, review and supervise schematic and layout for PCB designs + Test and validate electrical designs – including but not limited to memory interfaces, power regulators, power delivery networks + Debug hardware issues, including power quality and high speed signal integrity + Execute failure analysis, identify root cause, and implement corrective actions as needed + Engineer component analysis, schematic design, circuit review, layout review and general debugging Knowledge, Skills & Abilities + Strong electrical engineering fundamentals + Experience in electronic design, including component selection, schematic design, and familiarity with tools like Cadence Allegro and OrCAD Capture + Experience with lab instrumentation such as TDR and vector network analyzers (VNA) + Experience with 2.5D or 3D and PDN/SI simulation tools Minimum Qualifications: + BS/BA degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field or equivalent years of experience + 7+ years of experience in electrical or hardware engineering Preferred Qualifications: + PhD/MS in a relevant field + Experience with integrated circuit design such as VHDL or analog design + Knowledge of layout strategies to meet Power Delivery Network impedance targets or in deriving power impedance masks + Excellent process development and documentation skills If you have a disability or special need that requires accommodation, please don’t be shy and provide us some information (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScV7t31iR3yYR9ztGDHJpbvL63svWpb6s0afkBkLEjGnDx4Kg/viewform) . Compensation In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.
