Focus: We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer with extensive experience in control systems, particularly Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMIs, to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining electrical control systems and components to required specifications, focusing on economy, safety, reliability, quality, and sustainability.

Electrical Engineer Essential Job Functions:

Design electrical control systems for industrial automation equipment (480V and below). Evaluate and propose alternative components and automation strategies to enhance efficiency, product quality, performance, and cost-effectiveness. Perform programming (new and modifications) of control devices, including Allen Bradley PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, Servos, and Vision Cameras. Develop electrical specifications for new equipment and ensure compliance by working closely with vendors throughout the quotation, design, and build phases. Develop, manage, and support capital projects, including conducting Root Cause Analysis and implementing corrective actions.

Electrical Engineer Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor of Science* in Electrical Engineering or closely related technical field. Minimum of 1 year of experience in designing and programming control systems, with a strong focus on Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMIs. Familiarity with DoD requirements – UFCs, Army Regs, DoD Safety Manuals, etc.  preferred. Ability to work with minimal supervision, manage own time effectively, and maintain control over all current projects/responsibilities. Demonstrated ability to set priorities, manage high-volume workload, and willingness to be collaborative and support team efforts. Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.

Location-Specific Requirements: 

Must possess a valid US driver’s license. This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.  This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required. This position requires successful vetting for unescorted access in accordance with U.S. Army and Department of Defense access policies. To meet the government-facility requirements, the candidate must be a US citizen.
