Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Job Description

Design projects from schematic design through construction with Lead Engineer. Provide necessary support as required for mechanical, HVAC, lighting, power, riser diagrams, electrical circuiting, voice/data, security, AV, and fire alarm systems. Check shop drawings and assist during construction. Majority of responsibility will be production work leading to individual design responsibilities.

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Darien, Illinois, or in the Loop, and some days remote.

Work Environment

Normal schedule is 4 days at the office (9-hour days) and 1 half day at home on Fridays. Projects include K-12/higher education, sporting facilities (college baseball stadiums, turf football fields). Full-service, integrated architecture, interiors, MEP, structural, civil, and construction firm focusing on mid-to-large scale schools, office buildings, municipal projects, and roadway/bridge projects. Flex schedule requires employees to work in the office 3 days a week. Work hours are Monday - Thursday and 7:30 am - 11:30 am on Friday. Minimum of 40 hours a week with occasional overtime. Dress code is business professional Monday through Thursday and slightly less business casual on Fridays. Company size: 100+ AEC. Open floor plan with cubicle layout and natural light. LEED Platinum building with ample parking; hybrid vehicle parking close to the front door. Kitchen with microwave and tables for lunch.
