Electrical Hardware EngineerRESPONSIBILITIES-\tOwn the rapid design and development of space flight harness assemblies -\tDesign, develop, and test high-reliability electrical boards and spacecraft components from concept through design, manufacturing support, unit testing, and system integration. -\tDrive component selection, analysis, schematic capture, prototyping, bring-up, debugging, documentation, manufacturing, and test for electrical designs -\tPerform system-level integration of electrical subsystems, including hardware and software interfaces. -\tPerform first article testing, unit level testing, and integration testing of electronic boards -\tSupport hardware through production, integration, and launch. -\tCreate development and qualification testing campaigns to exercise designs to their limits and ensure reliable hardware. -\tWork closely with other engineer disciplines such as mechanical and embedded software during design, test, and system integration. -\tDevelop and maintain documentation for electrical boards and components, including design specifications, test plans, and operating procedures. -\tParticipate in all aspects of the product development lifecycle, from concept and requirements definition to product release and post-release support. -\tContinuously improve electrical engineering processes and practices to drive innovation and efficiency. SKILLS -\tBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field -\tMinimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering -\tExperience with power conversion and distribution, power filtering, embedded systems, and common communication interfaces (RS-422/RS-485, SPI, I2C, 10/100 Ethernet) -\tDemonstrated experience with electrical hardware bring-up and testing, including independent troubleshooting and iterative design -\tHands-on experience using oscilloscopes, function generators, logic analyzers, and other common test equipment -\tExperience with Altium Design or similar ECAD software -\tAbility to work effectively in a cross-functional team on complex integrated systems -\tExcellent communication and interpersonal skills -\tStrong knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes and constraints, including design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for test (DFT) -\tAbility to perform minor board reworks when necessary to facilitate testing -\tExperience designing for harsh or mission critical environments including one of the following: aerospace, space, automotive, or medical industries -\tExperience with radiation tolerant design and/or mitigating radiation effects of COTS components -\tExperience in SPICE analysis tools, circuit tolerance analysis, and/or worst-case circuit analysis -\tEEE parts screening and qualification per NASA-INST-002, or similar -\tEMI/EMC qualification and mitigation via GSFC-7000 (GEVS) and MIL-STD-461
