Electrical Engineers are responsible for consultation, investigation, evaluation and planning, design, design review and approval, and/or determination of environmental and safety impacts of work processes and products.
Responsibilities
Engineering and Design (90%)
+ Use engineering software to draft, design, detail, and modify engineering project designs/plans utilizing firm specifications.
+ Evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures.
+ Review designs for compliance with codes and specifications.
+ Clarify and resolve technical issues.
+ May provide technical assistance with proposals and presentations.
+ May write reports and memorandums and assist with project presentations to clients.
+ May assist the PM, as requested, in the preparation of cost information.
+ Other related duties as assigned.
Administrative (10%)
+ Participate in team meetings, all staff meetings, and other non-billable planning sessions.
+ Participate in training and development activities as needed and directed by supervisor.
+ Perform administrative tasks including, but not limited to, time sheet completion, expense reports, completing correspondence, etc.
Technical Qualifications
+ Bachelor of Science from an accredited university, required
+ PE, required
+ 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering design, required
Physical Qualifications
+ Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time
+ Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
+ Physical dexterity and ability to negotiate around a crowded and busy working office area, and around a crowded and busy working area, including construction sites
