Job Description
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE). Candidates should have 1-3 years of professional experience; relevant co-op or internship experience will also be considered. The role involves working as an Electrical Test Engineer with a strong focus on electrical motors and batteries, particularly in the marine industry. You will need to calculate voltage and amperage effectively. Relevant industry experience includes automotive, electric motor-focused roles, power equipment, motorcycles, recreational sports vehicles, and scooters. A strong interest in the marine/boating industry is essential.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Grant-Valkaria, Florida.
Work Environment
The work environment is dynamic, with 75% of the time spent in the lab and 25% on the water/outdoors. Current projects include prototyping and testing electric outboard motors, fine-tuning motors, battery systems, and addressing cooling issues. Tasks include sourcing control modules, harnesses, and safety switches for prototyping. The role also involves attending boat shows to gather competitor information multiple times a year. While there is no Electrical Engineering mentorship, outside training will be provided if needed.
