Job Title: Electrical EngineerJob Description We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our Laser Division as an Electronic Design Engineer. This role supports the ongoing development of innovative ultrafast laser systems. The successful candidate will work with a team of engineers focusing on photonic product development. Responsibilities include custom PCB design and bring-up, integrating third-party components, cabling and cable drawings, working with vendors, and compliance testing. The engineer is expected to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Additionally, the candidate will participate in training other engineers. Responsibilities + Design custom PCBs and perform bring-up. + Integrate third-party components into designs. + Create cabling and cable drawings. + Work closely with vendors to ensure project requirements are met. + Conduct compliance testing. + Handle multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision. + Train and mentor other engineers. Essential Skills + Proficiency in Altium for PCB design. + Strong background in electrical design and engineering. + Experience in circuit design and troubleshooting. + Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing electrical circuits from concept to PCB layout. + Ability to sketch out system diagrams based on requirements. + Experience in conceptual design of analog and digital circuits. + Skill in selecting components based on datasheets. + Ability to perform simulations to validate designs. + Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout design. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Hands-on testing and validation of PCBs. + Experience with other PCB design tools is acceptable. + Experience in both analog (amplifiers, voltage convertors, current sources) and digital (CPLD, micro-controller, ADC/DAC) circuit design.
