Electrical Engineer
Job Title: Electrical Engineer Job Description Design and develop best-in-class motor control systems for a variety of industries and applications, including testing of electric vehicle propulsion systems, maximizing oil production with artificial intelligence at the well, optimizing metal forming, dynamic automotive testing, and delivering precision control systems for a wide range of applications in the converting industry. As a Systems Design Engineer, you will understand what type of system the customer needs and determine from a high level what components, circuits, motor controls, power electronics, etc., are needed to give the customer the power they need for their application. These systems can operate with horsepower in the thousands and voltages up to 460 or 720 volts. Responsibilities + Design motor control and test system solutions, including creation of Power Distribution Diagrams, Network Distribution Diagrams, and Electrical schematics. + Develop electrical and mechanical drawing packages for industrial motor control and battery testing/simulation systems optimized for size and ease of manufacturing. + Verify conformance of components and systems to customer specifications. + Complete load, voltage, amperage, and heat calculations to ensure proper design. + Create system bill of materials. + Work with Purchasing and Vendors to evaluate alternate components.
