Electrical Engineer

 

Summary: Seeking an Electrical Engineer with expertise in power systems and a strong background in transmission planning for a 12-month project.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited engineering school

Minimum of 4 to 6 years of related experience

Valid driver's license with a safe driving history

Proficiency in MSOffice (Word, Excel, Access)

Preferred Skills:

Master's Degree in Electrical Power Systems

Professional Engineering registration

Experience with PSS/E, MUST, PROBE, ASPEN, and/or PowerGem TARA

Familiarity with NERC and NPCC transmission planning standards

Experience within RTO planning processes (ISO-NE, NYISO, PJM, CAISO)

Job Responsibilities:

Conduct power flow and short circuit analysis using state-of-the-art techniques

Prioritize work and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Interact positively with internal teams and external stakeholders

Understand commercial aspects of transmission projects

Apply knowledge of power systems including protection systems, utility practices, three-phase power system theory, substation configuration, and outage planning

 

 

 Pay: 38-51

Pay Details: $38.00 to $51.00 per hour
