Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to perform and oversee engineering designs of all types of electrical infrastructure and facilities for Federal government clients. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will develop construction documents using AutoCAD. Designs may include facility design, working closely with other disciplines, or may be stand-alone electrical projects. In this role, you will help manage junior staff, including engineers and drafters. Projects may include travel, field measurements/data gathering, calculations, and CAD/BIM designing. Experience working with Federal, state, and local governments is preferred.

ResponsibilitiesProduce plans, reports, and specifications.Assist in the preparation of cost estimates.Assist in the preparation of inspection reports.Perform quality control and quality assurance.Perform calculations for the design of lighting and electrical systems.Work closely with junior engineering and drafting staff.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a similar field from an ABET-accredited college or university.7+ years of experience in electrical engineering.Licensed Professional Engineer or having passed the FE exam with the ability to become licensed within a year of hire.AutoCAD design experience.5+ years of construction design experience.Experience in commercial building electrical design, electrical engineering, electrical design, AutoCAD electrical.Additional Skills & QualificationsCapability of working on multiple projects simultaneously.Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems.Strong oral and written communication skills.Work Environment

This role offers a hybrid schedule, allowing for remote work up to 2 days per week and requiring in-office presence at least 3 days per week. Some travel to various locations may be needed. The team consists of 3 electrical engineers, 2 mechanical engineers, 2 architects, a CAD technician, and additional support staff.
