Opportunity Summary: This position supports electrical and mechanical maintenance mill wide. As the Maintenance Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for promoting electrical reliability throughout the Mill and Plant facility. It will include a direct working relationship with electricians and instrumentation technicians (E/I) to include training, troubleshooting, repairs and contracting preventative maintenance activities on these systems. Additional responsibilities for your role include coordinating the development of mechanical & electrical equipment specifications including but not limited to OEM new and rebuild specifications, collecting and analyzing data on the electrical equipment, seeking opportunities to improve reliability of the assets, creating preventative maintenance plans.

Support maintenance personnel in resolving facilities and equipment problems using systematic methods of troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and irreversible corrective action. Participate in or lead Root Cause Failure Analysis, report findings, along with recommended remedies. Lead the Electrical Reliability program to continuously improve equipment availability and uptime, maximize production, and reduce maintenance costsConduct equipment failure analysis to identify opportunities to reduce repetitive maintenance and repair issues and to increase facility uptimeDevelop and implement predictive maintenance measures to increase the lifespan of assetsServe as an electrical reliability Subject Matter Expert (SME) to WestRock facilities and external vendors to support operating excellencePartner with the Maintenance and Production teams to support, educate, and promote reliability program buy-in throughout the facilityProvide technical support for capital and expense projects to ensure maintainability, standardization, and quality.Provide technical support to maintenance personnel on equipment repairs, troubleshooting problems, CMMS systems, and equipment reliability issues.What you need to succeed:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent technical training and, or experience.2 to 3 years of work experience in Maintenance Manufacturing. With experience in the following or similar systems: Allen Bradley, Reliance , and Rockwell drives, Emerson Delta V control systems, ABB DCS systems, and Honeywell DCS systems.Very analytical with the ability to develop key insights from large sets of data and information from various sources to drive business decisionsExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adjust communication style and simple complex technical information for various audiencesAdept at problem-solving and identifying root cause to implement preventative methodsResults-oriented with a willingness and drive to achieve organizational objectives
