Electrical Engineer
A sustainable design engineering firm located in Chicago is looking to add an Electrical Engineer to their team! About: The Senior Electrical Engineer will lead and supervise the work of junior engineers and interface with project managers, clients, and other design consultants. Will provide technical guidance to clients across all aspects of electrical system design including building electrical service and distribution, lighting systems and controls, on-site generation, and nanogrid/microgrid development. Responsibilities: + Lead design efforts for the analysis of electrical systems, utilizing engineering software and tools to create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations according to code requirements + Interact with clients to understand their needs, gather project requirements, and communicate technical information effectively; Build and maintain client relationships through professional communication + Work as part of a project team to support the execution of consulting projects; Lead efforts in project planning, budgeting, and scheduling tasks to meet project deadlines and objectives + Analyze engineering problems and propose innovative solutions; Collaborate with senior engineers and consultants to develop practical and efficient solutions + Provide in-process design reviews of electrical system design, calculations, and specifications + Contribute to research, development, and innovation efforts + Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals + Oversee projects through bidding and construction administration phase + Apply advanced knowledge of building codes and standards + Provide technical guidance and participate in training of junior engineers Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering program + 6+ years of experience + Minimum of 5 years in the MEP space + PE License (or in-process of pursuing this) + Revit proficiency + Proficient with industry standard engineering software and tools including power system analysis and design software such as SKM/PTW, Easy Power, or other; and energy compliance software such as ComCheck + Proficient with Adobe or Bluebeam Revu Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $52.88 - $72.12 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
