Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to perform electrical design, coordination, and possibly project management for various large projects, including USPS, Amazon, and miscellaneous public sector and industrial projects across the Midwest and Southeast regions of the United States. You will establish design direction, develop technical drawings and specifications, and direct overall project schedule and budget. This role includes conducting complex feasibility and operating studies, coordinating client contact, maintaining relationships, and ensuring quality control over assigned projects. Occasional travel to job sites, primarily in the Midwest with some trips to the Southeast, is required (up to 20% of the time).

ResponsibilitiesEstablish design direction and develop technical drawings and specifications.Direct overall project schedule and budget.Conduct complex feasibility and operating studies to evaluate alternative systems and methods.Coordinate client contact and maintain working relationships throughout the project.Ensure quality control over assigned projects.Assist in business development and proposal preparation for new locations.Prepare proposals, contracts, correspondence, and project documentation.Travel to job sites as needed, with occasional overnight stays.Meet cost and time schedules while producing quality results.Use Revit and AutoCAD for design.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field.5+ years of experience in electrical projects for buildings.Experience with power distribution and lighting.Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.Ability to travel up to 20%, regionally and nationally if needed.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with public/government or industrial projects.10+ years of experience in electrical engineering.Professional Engineer (PE) license.Project management skills.Work Environment

The main office is located in Downtown Detroit, but this position could be based out of any of our offices in the Midwest or Florida. Core working hours are 8am-4pm, Monday through Friday, with flexibility. Expected work hours are 40-50 hours per week. Hybrid flexibility is available (1-2 days per week) or fully remote if you are not within 45 minutes of an office, provided you have a PE license or 15 years of experience. The work environment is dynamic and collaborative, utilizing advanced technologies such as Revit and AutoCAD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $65.00
