Electrical Engineer

This position is for an Electrical Engineer with a wide interest whose expertise can be applied to the development of cutting-edge military programs. Responsibilities includeLeads electrical design projects of significant complexity.Performs research, design, and development in such areas as power conditioning electronics, analog circuit design, digital circuit design, IC design and verification, and other general electrical engineering design functions.Applies research to the planning, design, development, simulation and testing of electrical circuits for use in military applications.Generates design schematics preferably with experience using CAD tools such as Mentor Graphics.Develops specifications for and performs selection of components for use in electrical circuits for military applications.Utilizes electrical CAD tools such as Mentor System Vision, Power Intent, Hyperlynx, LTspice and others for circuit performance prediction in aid of circuit development.Oversees board layout to create PWB designs and provides pertinent design factors for first pass success on circuit realization.Strong analytical skills and the ability to organize and prioritize job assignments and tasks.Possess strong interpersonal skills to work effectively within a product development team to understand system level interdependencies that impact circuit requirements and design constraints.An active learner of new design techniques and technologies.Preferably an understanding of Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) disciplines; including design for assembly / design for manufacturing (DFA/DFM).

Skills & Qualifications

6-8+ years of experience with a BS degree or 6 years experiences with a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college with professional experience in the design, build, and validation of electrical circuits. IC Design work NOT FPGASolid understanding of electronic product development processes.Experience creating and modeling electrical schematics, evaluate design robustness by simulation and lab testing. Using electronic design schematic capture and simulation tools.Experience in technical leadership of a complex program requiring coordination of engineering work.Wide range of design experience in analog and digital electronics in leading-edge product development projects. Able to provide and explain previous experiences.Experience troubleshooting analog, digital and mixed signal circuits at the board and system levels, including identifying and resolving issues such as signal integrity problems, component failures and performance deviations.Ability to evaluate and select components that meet the applicable requirements. Board populationDigital and Analog exp. and IC design is the focused on HW Development populating boards PWBThey are small round boards (5) attached by Flex circuits that go in Ammunition. Very dense boards.Will be testing exp. needed as well connectivity, functionality, sensors, and power.No specific Software exp. needed.Make sure candidates are ok with working on Defense (ammunition) products (affect life).

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $65.00
