Job Description
Our Seattle office is seeking an Electrical Engineer to work in a fast-paced, multi-discipline team environment. The position responsibilities are primarily focused on the design of electrical systems for new facilities, additions, and renovation projects. This role requires providing technical leadership for the creation of construction drawings and specifications, existing system studies, and master planning efforts.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop electrical system designs of a given project based on the scope of work and/or client RFPsProvide engineering design, evaluation, and planning of electrical systems for a variety of market typesConduct existing building surveys and documentation of existing electrical systemsDevelop system design calculations and selection of equipment for use in buildingsWrite and edit project specificationsPrepare detailed design documents, reports, and studiesConduct code compliance researchCoordinate work with other disciplinesMeet with clients, project teams, code officials, contractors, and others to address mechanical issues and develop effective working relationshipsEssential Skills4+ years of experience in the Electrical IndustryExperience in the construction industry; plan spec or design buildExperience within two building types such as Educational, Mission-Critical, Retail, Datacenter, Federal, or Commercial ProjectsProficient in Revit and understanding of AutoCAD and BluebeamBachelor’s Degree in Electrical EngineeringKnowledge in the design of power distribution, fire alarm, data & communication, lighting, and emergency power systemsFamiliarity with codes, standards, and design guidelinesProficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and MS OfficeAdditional Skills & QualificationsExcellent work ethic and attitudeGood communication skills, combined with organizational skillsAbility to plan, balance, and prioritize workAbility to lead a team as well as work as part of a teamExperience with lighting software (Visual) is a plusEIT certification or relevant experience is a plusOpportunity to travelWork Environment
This role offers a hybrid work environment with 3 days a week in the office and 2 days remote. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $77.00
