Job Title: Electrical EngineerJob Description Design projects from schematic design through construction with a Senior Engineer. Provide necessary support as required for mechanical, HVAC (for Mechanical Engineer) and lighting, power, riser diagrams, electrical circuiting, voice/data, security, AV and fire alarm systems (for electrical). Check shop drawings and assist during construction. Majority of responsibility will be production work leading to individual design responsibilities. Essential Skills + BS degree in Electrical Engineering. + Building design experience. + 1-15 years of Electrical engineering experience. + Knowledge of NEC, NFPA70, NFPA72, and Chicago Building Codes. + Experience with Revit MEP (training will be provided if necessary). Additional Skills & Qualifications + PE license is a plus. + Coursework in engineering or practical design experience working on building systems. Work Environment Located in Darien, IL, our large, spacious office includes a parking lot and a large kitchen/dining area. The company offers lots of social events and outings. The normal schedule includes 4 days in the office and 1 day at home, with 9-hour days Monday through Thursday and a half-day on Friday. Projects include K-12 and higher education facilities, sporting facilities, office buildings, municipal buildings, and roadway/bridge projects. The office has an open floor plan with cubicles, lots of natural light, ample parking, and is a LEED Platinum building. The dress code is business casual Monday through Thursday and slightly less formal on Fridays. The work week consists of a minimum of 40 hours with occasional overtime. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $58.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
