Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing electrical systems for large existing commercial buildings, preparing reports, cost estimates, and specifications, performing calculations, and selecting equipment for specification. Additionally, the role involves preparing construction documents for bidding, designing in both AutoCAD and Revit, performing site visits, managing project deadlines, and interacting with clients and architects.
ResponsibilitiesDesign electrical systems for large existing commercial buildings.Prepare reports, cost estimates, and specifications.Perform calculations and select equipment for specification.Prepare construction documents for bidding.Design using AutoCAD and Revit.Perform site visits to assess project requirements.Manage project deadlines.Interact with clients and architects to ensure project requirements are met.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.4-10 years of relevant experience.Proficiency in AutoCAD.Experience in building design projects.Knowledge of electrical code NEC, UFC, NFPA 70 NEC.Proficiency in electrical design and analysis.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with SolidWorks.Proficiency in Revit.Work Environment
This position offers a flexible schedule starting between 6am-8am. The role involves working directly onsite at the client site in Indian Head, MD, with the possibility of working from home one day per week. The position includes reviewing existing buildings, designing RFPs, and performing technical analysis. Our company offers 15 days of PTO, 5 days of sick leave, and 10 holidays, along with 100% coverage of benefits, an end-of-year bonus, and profit sharing.
