Description
Our Client is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join their team located in Fairfield, OH. This position will be accountable for driving the director of their electrical systems through decision making and oversight of designs. They will work with and influence key stakeholders, vendors, and customers to develop the electrical systems for their projects.
JOB DUTIES:
- Full understanding of high (ex: 13.8KV) and medium voltage electrical systems, components, and panels.
- Design electrical systems including switchgear, power distribution panels, control panels, conduit and wire routing drawings.
- Conduct arc flash/safety studies as required.
- Provide customers with all CAD drawings needing for project completion.
- Specify all components (parts) needed for project completion.
- Work with sales by getting quotations for new equipment, reviewing customer electrical requirements, and sizing proposed equipment.
- Verify the accuracy of vendor designs.
- Properly size transformers and switchgear equipment and verify the designs have proper clearances per codes and regulatory requirements.
- Review and ensure accuracy of utilities drawings provided to the customer.
- Work with manufacturing and installations to provide answers to any electrical questions.
- Understand the customer specifications and governing codes and how to incorporate them into the design.
- Ensure electrical standardized procedural documentation is accurate, up to date, and utilized.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
MUSTS:
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineer or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience working with high and medium voltage electrical equipment
- Experience with root cause and risk analysis methodologies
- Knowledge of NEC, CSA, NFPA codes
- Experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks
- Experience with electrical layout, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematic drawings

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $57.69
