Job Description
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the electrical design of motors, generators, and magnetic drives. They review customer specifications to determine machine size and select the correct design to meet customer applications. The Electrical Engineer creates machine winding specifications, selects winding materials, and produces motor/generator data sheets and performance curves. This role involves all stages of the customer order process, including sales, design, manufacturing, assembly, testing, and field services. Additionally, the Electrical Engineer provides close shop support to ensure minimum cost and defect-free machines.
ResponsibilitiesReview customer specifications to determine machine size and appropriate design.Create machine winding specifications and select winding materials.Produce motor/generator data sheets and performance curves.Participate in all stages of the customer order process: sales, design, manufacturing, assembly, testing, and field services.Provide close shop support to ensure minimum cost and defect-free machines.Essential SkillsBachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university.0-7 years of experience in the design or development of large motors and/or generators, or products of similar complexity.Knowledge of ISO 9001 documentation requirements.Understanding of engineering operating systems and their interfaces with other departments.Proficiency in Microsoft Windows products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Knowledge of any programming language.Additional Skills & QualificationsCoursework in motors, drives, and high voltage power electronics is preferred.Work Environment
This position requires working onsite and involves hands-on activities on the shop floor.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $41.00
