This position will be responsible for the development of a new audio solution for a System of Systems that has audio inputs from microphones in headsets and stationed in the ceiling as well as that generated by servers as they process signals and create sound. The solution supports multiple circuits to allow different stations to communicate with each other simultaneously while not interfering with other circuits that are also working simultaneously. The role also includes CS/CE development, support, and troubleshooting of acoustic simulation systems, tactical software on COTS hardware, and associated interfaces. Responsibilities will include: + Designing, developing, and testing electrical and electronics solutions. + Collaborating with project teams to identify and solve engineering problems. + Ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements. + Conducting and/or participating in research for product acquisition and development. This position supports a US Navy program whose mission is to design, develop, and support systems used for the measurement, acquisition, processing, and analysis of ship signature data. The program designs hardware and software for signature characterizations, signal processing, signal imaging, and advanced algorithm development. Advanced, unconventional signal processing techniques are used to assess the vulnerability of ship signatures for exploitation by threat sensors. In addition, the program designs, develops, and supports the operating fleets’ signature data collection, processing, and analysis systems, thereby ensuring commonality and interchangeability of data and systems. This contract requires the provision of scientific, engineering, and technical support required for the design, development, fabrication, integration, test, fleet implementation, and maintenance of simulation systems. The contract provides technical engineering support for simulation and training system capabilities to existing fleet on-site maintenance personnel for the operational systems and also supports tactical testing and analysis system configurations for common simulation and tactical subsystems utilized in these trainers. REQUIRED; + BA/BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science, or a related technical degree. + You must have U.S. Citizenship and be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government granted security clearance. Employment is contingent on receiving an interim Secret security clearance. + You must have 4+ years of related work experience. + You must have proficiency in using CAD software for electrical design (e.g., Fusion 360, KiCAD). + Linux and C++ familiarity + You must have a strong understanding of electrical theory and applications. + You must have practical experience with electrical testing equipment and safety standards.
