Position Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team! As the Electrical Engineer, you will provide day-to-day technical expertise and electrical reliability support for the Coating, Finishing, and Power Distribution systems and equipment at the Mill. The successful candidate will join a diverse team, dedicated to the safe and efficient manufacturing of Release Papers. The position responsibilities include the maintenance & reliability of site electrical systems & equipment, problem solving complex electrical systems, providing technical assistance to site crafts persons, and Capital project management.
Performance Objectives
Plan, budget, develop and direct electrical capital projects including power, PLC’s, drives and controls. Provide technical electrical engineering and project management oversight for the design, installation, and maintenance of plant electrical and instrumentation systems, including power systems, PLC’s, drives, etc. Oversee Power systems engineering including the Arc-Flash Program Assist in maintaining plant one-line diagrams Assist with troubleshooting related to operations & maintenance
Minimum Education, Skills & Knowledge Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology Minimum of 5 years experience Proficient in Project Management Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop effective relationships with crafts persons and peers across an organization. Strong time management skills with the ability to organize, plan, prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects. Experience and understanding applicable electrical codes, i.e. NFPA70E, NEC, NEMA, IEEE, UL, etc.
Preferred Skills & Knowledge Requirements:
Troubleshoot Coordinated Drive Systems, PLC’s, Power Distribution systems/components Perform Allen-Bradley PowerFlex Series variable frequency drive programming Experience with medium and low voltage power distribution systems including substations, transformers, switchgear, protection devices, and transmission cabling Experience with electrical reliability best management practices such as infrared, ultrasonic, oil sampling, diagnostic software/systems Familiarity/experience with Fault Current, Coordination and Arc Flash Studies.
