For Takeda Ireland Ltd, we are looking for a 


Electrical Engineer


for a full-time permanent position at our location in Grange Castle, Lucan, Dublin, Ireland.


As an Electrical Engineer, you will ensure the safe and efficient operation of our site's electrical systems (LV, MV, HV, Switch Gear, Generators, UPS, and Safety Systems). You will develop standards and procedures, act as the Electrical System Owner and Subject Matter Expert, manage contractors, drive continuous improvement, and oversee electrical aspects of shutdowns.

Your tasks in detail:

Operate & Maintain: Oversee site electrical systems (Generators, Transformers, Distribution Systems, ATEX Equipment, UPS, MCCs, Switch Gear) and provide troubleshooting support to minimize downtime.Expertise & Projects: Serve as the Electrical Subject Matter Expert on projects and review technical drawings for compliance.Analysis & Documentation: Conduct root cause analysis and Power Quality Analysis, and document design standards and testing processes.Innovation & Compliance: Perform feasibility studies for new technologies and ensure regulatory compliance while maintaining adequate spares.Maintenance Systems: Manage planned and unplanned maintenance systems, implementing new procedures as needed.Safety & Improvement: Monitor and control safe working practices, lead electrical improvement projects, and drive quality investigations.Training & Development: Participate in cross-functional training, develop and deliver training materials, and ensure timely completion of SOPs, training, and assessments.Performance & Budgets: Manage department performance against KPIs and control operational budgets.EHS Activities: Foster a culture of safety, ensure compliance with safety policies, and participate in EHS activities.Professional Growth: Maintain professional knowledge and stay updated with industry trends and relevant legislation

Your profile:

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent, with a minimum of 10 years in maintenance within a pharmaceutical or similar facility. Previous trade experience is a plus. Proficient in electrical systems typical of pharmaceutical manufacturing, maintenance practices, and relevant legislation in Ireland/Europe. Working knowledge of maintenance CMMS (e.g., SAP-PM).Experienced with regulatory audits and ISO standards. Skilled in implementing strategies to resolve complex issues and able to work independently.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to produce technical reports.Strong orientation towards quality and safety, with a focus on continuous improvement.Well-organized, adaptable to change, and able to manage competing priorities calmly.Positive, safety-focused, and committed to continuous improvement.Fluent in written and spoken English.
