We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer specializing in Electromagnetic Interference (EMI), Electromagnetic Conduction (EMC), Lightning, and Environmental (ENV) activities at our West Hartford, CT location.
Responsibilities
+ Generate EMI, EMC, Lightning, and ENV test procedures.
+ Write technical reports and work with various lab equipment, including meters, power supplies, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, amplifiers, antennas, injection cores, and data acquisition systems.
+ Communicate effectively with internal customers and team members.
+ Collaborate with engineers and managers across multiple disciplines, including Systems, Electrical Design, Project, and Program Office.
+ Perform multiple tests independently, either onsite or offsite.
Essential Skills
+ Excellent technical, analytical, and technical writing skills.
+ Self-motivated with good interpersonal and team skills.
+ Experience with EMI, EMC, Lightning, and ENV test procedures.
+ Proficiency with lab equipment such as meters, power supplies, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, amplifiers, antennas, injection cores, and data acquisition systems.
+ Ability to generate EMI Control Plans, EMI, EMC, Lightning Test Procedures, and reports.
+ Familiarity with standards such as RTCA DO-160, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-461, and MIL-STD-810.
+ Experience with electronics, schematics diagrams, schematic design, and electromagnetic analysis software.
+ More than 3 years of relevant EMI, EMC, Lightning, and ENV test and documentation experience.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Willingness to travel, with possible overnight stays at offsite test locations (up to 20% annually).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred; Associates Degree may be considered.
+ Prior aerospace experience is preferred.
+ Experience with radio-frequency identification and LabVIEW.
+ Proficiency in documentation tools such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Adobe, and Nuance.
+ Experience with DO-160 or Mil STD 461 is highly preferred.
Work Environment
Based in West Hartford, CT, the work environment includes working in a leading independent aerospace fuel system supplier facility. You will have the opportunity to work hands-on and cross-functionally, interacting with departments such as Quality, Supply Chain, and External Customers. The role may involve working in a testing lab as well as other environments. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $94600.00 - $141800.00/yr.
