Program Summary
KBR is looking for highly motivated individuals to join our team within the Air Force Sustainment organization, supporting the sustainment engineering efforts of the Air Force and other DoD customers across multiple programs. We provide engineering expertise in reverse engineering, prototyping, analysis, and other aspects of digital material management, allowing our customers to keep legacy systems in operation during the later stages of their lifespans.
Job Summary
This position will support our Tinker AFB customers by resolving electrical sustainment issues. Under direct supervision, the employee independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications. With additional experience within one functional area, assists in the design of larger and more complex assignments which involve conventional types of plans, investigations, and surveys with relatively few complex features for which there are precedents.
Roles and Responsibilities
Reverse engineering airborne and ground obsolete systems by analysing and understanding the design and functionality of these systems by working backward from its current statusCreating and reviewing electrical schematics and designsAssisting project engineers with basic electrical engineering tasksDeveloping and reviewing of technical documentation relating relating to users, systems, standards, processes, workflows, operations, products, and servicesWorking in lab space for fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of electrical productsBasic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (or similar degree) from an ABET accredited schoolComprehension of electrical designs, drawings, and standardsUS CitizenAbility to obtain a security clearancePreferred Qualifications
Strong logical through process for root cause investigationsCertified as Engineer in TrainingProgramming experienceExperience with CAD softwareKnowledge in DoD and manufacturing standards and codesGood oral and written communication skillsBelong, Connect and Grow at KBR
