We have an outstanding career opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to join a leading Company located in the Ashland City, TN surrounding area.
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for providing a safe and reliable electrical infrastructure. The engineer is responsible for learning the strengths and weaknesses of the system, leading substation PM programs, equipment relocations, new equipment installations, and planning for plant growth. Performs advanced engineering tasks under limited supervision.
Responsibilities:Apply best practice engineering principles in the evaluation, maintenance, and design of the plant's power distribution systemUse the Power Monitoring system to monitor the power distribution system to understand electrical loads at each substation and large distribution panels for issues, trends, and possible energy-saving optionsCommunicate Power Distribution issues and unplanned electrical issues, and provide plans and quotes to resolve while providing engineering support for productionLead and manage the Electrical PM systems to meet all company standardsLead safe electrical compliance training to meet OSHA/NFPA-72E standardsCoordinate and communicate tasks for the timely completion of compliance trainingCoordinate the activities of outside contractors to ensure they are integrated into the project and that the organization receives satisfactory standards of serviceMaintain and transfer documentation for electrical infrastructure changes to the contractor maintaining the Single Line DrawingFacilitate team activities and carry out necessary functions while providing management with feedback and status reports to ensure that critical decisions are made in a suitable and timely mannerMust be able to demo and install electrical equipment on the production floorWork with the Manufacturing Engineering team to provide electrical power for equipment moves and new installations from initial concept through completionInvestigate and present opportunities to reduce the carbon footprint of the campus
Basic Hiring Criteria:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related fieldMinimum 3 years of experience in the design and maintenance of power distribution systems in a manufacturing environment
Desired Qualifications:Experience in the design and maintenance of manufacturing control systems, PLC systems, and programming is a plusExcellent analytical and organizational skills; solves complex problemsExperience leading Kaizen-related or Continuous Improvement ActivityAbility to analyze and resolve issues quickly through root cause analysis8-step Problem Solving a plusToyota Production System (TPS) experience a plusFMEA experience is a plusStrong written and oral communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office, Access, Excel, PowerPoint and AutoCADUses team management skills to lead the design group during the conceptual phase of product developmentConduct project meetings and prepare reports to communicate the status of the project within and beyond the project teamKnowledge of SAP and MRP systems a plus
