Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. This role involves the development of design drawings, material and part specifications, engineering calculations, engineering reports, and feasibility studies. The successful candidate will perform shipboard surveys and interface with customers and vendors.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop design drawings and material/parts specifications.Conduct engineering calculations and compile engineering reports.Perform feasibility studies related to electrical engineering projects.Conduct shipboard surveys to assess electrical systems.Interface with customers and vendors to ensure project requirements are met.Essential SkillsMinimum of two years of experience in the marine electrical industry.Thorough knowledge of ship electrical systems.Familiarity with Grounded/Ungrounded Electrical Systems, Power Distribution, and Lighting Systems.Knowledge of US Naval (GSO) and Commercial Marine Specifications (IEEE-45).Experience in developing electrical load analysis and fault current analysis, with SKM experience being a plus.Knowledge of Maritime Regulations (ABS, NAVSEA, USCG, etc.).Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office suite.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.PE Registration is desired but not required.Ability to travel and conduct periodic ship checks.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
