Electrical Engineer Job Description The primary responsibility is to support engineers in designing electrical systems for various clients. You will coordinate and work with the design team within your discipline and collaborate with the Project Manager to execute project objectives in a timely and efficient manner. This position can be hybrid with a minimum of 3 days per week in our Voorhees, NJ office. Responsibilities + Perform engineering calculations, prepare single line diagrams, size electrical components and equipment, conduct short circuit analysis where required, and prepare technical specifications. + Review projects regularly to ensure departmental standards and requirements are consistent with client requirements and the project budget. + Design, layout, and check electrical systems drawings to ensure technical correctness using applicable job, federal, state, and local standards and codes. + Perform site surveys, energy audits, attend project meetings, and provide field construction support as required. + Coordinate with facility owners and architects regularly, ensuring the highest levels of responsiveness and communication. + Conduct shop drawing reviews and construction administration. Essential Skills + Knowledge of local, state, and national code requirements, specifically IEEE, NFPA, and Joint Meeting as well as FGI Guidelines for Hospitals and Outpatient Facilities. + Experience and working knowledge of lighting and electrical load analysis software. + Strong working knowledge and utilization of AutoCAD and Revit. + BS in Electrical Engineering. + Minimum 2 years of professional experience in healthcare, critical care, life sciences, and/or laboratory facilities. + Experience in executing a design project with Autodesk AutoCAD or Revit and implementing. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Knowledge of the USGBC LEED Rating system and standards is a plus. Work Environment + The role is based in the Voorhees, NJ office with a hybrid work model requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in the office. Work on primarily PSEG projects with 25% occasional travel. + The work hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM. + The company offers upward mobility, access to VPs and Directors, and the ability to impact multiple projects. + The benefits include PTO starting at 2 weeks, accruing 1 hour for every 30 hours worked, 1 week sick leave, and 8 company holidays. Projects range from DE, NJ, and PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
