Job Title: Electrical Engineer Job Description The Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for power distribution, including riser diagrams and panel schedules. The role also involves low voltage infrastructure design for IT and security systems, lighting design including fixture selection and controls, and lighting calculations. You will work with low-voltage systems including fire alarm, security, and controls, calculate loads, fault current, and voltage drop, and perform field surveys and construction phase support. Responsibilities + Design power distribution systems, including riser diagrams and panel schedules. + Develop low voltage infrastructure for IT and security systems. + Design lighting systems, including selecting fixtures, controls, and performing lighting calculations. + Work with low-voltage systems such as fire alarms, security, and controls. + Calculate electrical loads, fault current, and voltage drop. + Conduct field surveys and provide construction phase support. Essential Skills + Proficient in Revit + Experience in power distribution and low-voltage systems + Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and standard industry design practices + 2-5 years of relevant experience + Engineer-In-Training (EIT) or Engineer Intern (EI) Certification Additional Skills & Qualifications + Ability to perform lighting calculations + Experience in designing low-voltage systems including fire alarm and security systems Work Environment This position is within a small to medium-sized firm with 25 employees.
