The Work

As an Electrical Engineering Associate (Circuit Board Designer), you will support the design of circuit card assemblies used in military applications. Your role will include:

• Circuit Board Design: Design high-speed, multi-layer circuit boards using the latest processor and graphics technologies, ensuring compliance with industry standards for defense applications.
• Collaborative Engineering: Work closely with a team of Mechanical, FPGA, Software, and Component Engineers and other stakeholders to assist in creating cost-effective, high-quality designs that meet performance and safety standards.
• Industry Standards Compliance: Ensure that your designs align with Aero-Defense Industry Standards (such as DO-254, DO-178, CMOSS, SOSA) to meet the rigorous demands of defense technologies.
• Support the Design Process: While working with your team, help implement design updates, test circuit designs, and solve problems related to the assembly and manufacturing of high-speed boards.

Who You Are

We are looking for an Electrical Engineering who:
• Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
• Has up to 3 years of professional experience in digital circuit design and schematic development.
• Has foundational experience in circuit board layout and familiarity with high-speed, multi-layer designs.
• Possesses strong oral and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Can work collaboratively in a team environment while learning from senior engineers and mentors.
• Has the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).

Basic Qualifications:
-Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, with 2 plus years equivalent experience with digital circuit / logic design (schematic creation), processor design, and architecture
-Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD secret level clearance
Desired Skills:
-Bachelors degree from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
-Excellent oral and written communication skills
-Experience in designing Aero/Defense Industry compliant
designs (Examples: DO-254, SOSA, DO-178, CMOSS)
-Project and team leadership experience
-Knowledge of DevSecOps
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $67,400 - $129,300. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $77,600 - $146,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
