Aerospace and Defense Experience: Proven experience working in aerospace and defense industries, with a deep understanding of industry standards and requirements.5+ Years of Professional Electrical Engineering Experience: Extensive experience in hardware design and development, including hands-on experience with complex projects involving FPGAs and Microcontrollers.End-to-End Design Experience: Demonstrated ability to manage the entire design process from concept to production, ensuring high-quality and reliable products.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Specifications: Develop innovative design specifications that ensure our products excel in the market.Architecture: Lead and coordinate engineering teams, making key decisions that drive our projects forward.Design and Development: Create original hardware designs and break them down into manageable tasks for your team.Planning: Develop comprehensive plans and schedules, identifying resources and mitigating risks.Innovation: Conceive creative solutions to meet product requirements and overcome challenges.Maintenance: Support and improve existing products, ensuring they remain top-notch.Continuous Improvement: Always be on the lookout for new methods, processes, and technologies to enhance our work.Verification and Validation: Create and execute test plans, perform simulations, and validate hardware designs to ensure high performance and reliability.Collaboration: Collaborate with mechanical engineers, IP developers, and other stakeholders to integrate CCAs into larger systems.Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and debug hardware issues during the development and production phases.Optimization: Analyze and improve circuit card designs for performance, cost-effectiveness, and manufacturability. Address and resolve issues identified during testing and production.Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of design processes, test results, and revisions to ensure clarity and consistency.Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior engineers, sharing expertise and best practices in hardware design and development.

Skills & Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.Technical Skills:RTL Coding and Simulation: Proficiency in VHDL/Verilog, RTL simulation, synthesis, and static timing analysis. Experience with tools like Xilinx Vivado, Altera/Intel Quartus, Lattice Diamond, and Microsemi Libero.CCA Design: Knowledge of CCA design with mixed-signal technology circuits. Schematic capture experience in Cadence OrCad is desirable.Networking Protocols: Experience with PCIe, 1G/10G Ethernet, 1394, Fibre Channel.Troubleshooting: Strong skills for hardware/firmware issues using software and hardware tools.Desired Characteristics:Experience with MIL-STD-1553 and ARINC-429 is highly desirable.Experience with DO-254 certification process.Knowledge of environmental testing standards (thermal, shock & vibration).Knowledge of Multi-Chip Module (MCM) designs is a plus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
