Electrical Engineer If you have an MEP background or are interested in the MEP space, please apply directly or email your resume to *sfitch@actalentservices.com* Job Description + We are seeking a talented Electrical Engineer to join our team. + The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design and analysis of sustainable building electrical systems within healthcare facilities, K-12/higher education, and other buildings. + You will work closely with interns and co-ops, picking up their Revit drafts and completing the electrical portion of projects. + Additionally, you will research code issues, review drawings from various stakeholders, and engage with contractors for pre-construction and construction support activities. + Proficiency in software such as Autodesk, Microstation, and Revit is essential, with a focus on Revit. Responsibilities + Design and analyze sustainable building electrical systems within healthcare facilities, K-12/higher education, and other buildings. + Pick up drafts from interns and co-ops, and complete the electrical portion of projects. + Research code issues and review drawings from vendors, clients, architects, and tenured engineers. + Revise or change drawings and collaborate with clients, consultants, and in-house staff from other disciplines. + Engage with contractors for pre-construction and construction support activities. + Document systems design in software such as Autodesk, Microstation, and Revit (primarily Revit). Essential Skills + Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of relevant MEP experience. + Valid New York State Driver’s License and reliable transportation. + Proficiency in MS Office Suite. + Understanding of building codes. + Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD Electrical, AutoCAD, electrical design, and load calculation. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Ability to draft with speed and accuracy when necessary. + Physically able to perform required field investigative work. + Experience in engineering analysis work, including load calculations and equipment sizing. Work Environment + This position offers a hybrid work environment in Rochester or Buffalo, working on teams of 2-4 engineers depending on the discipline. + Every Monday, there is a 7:30 AM morning meeting to assess all department projects and deliverables. + Additionally, separate department meetings are held to ensure resources are allocated accordingly, preventing employee overwork. + Our firm employs over 53 professionals, including Professional Engineers, Designers, LEED™ Accredited Professionals, Energy Managers, CAD Operators, and support staff skilled in all types of building projects. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.86 - $48.07/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
