We are seeking an outgoing and innovative Electrical Engineer to join our team in Plainview, NY.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for researching, developing, designing, and testing electrical components, equipment, and systems.
This role involves collaboration with various engineering disciplines to ensure the successful implementation of projects.

Electrical Design and Development:Proficiency in capturing schematics and selecting components to meet design specifications.5+ years of experience in designing electrical equipment, components, products, and systems for aerospace and defense.Testing and Verification:Ability to prepare and execute verification test procedures for performance across power and temperature environments.Skills in testing, debugging, documenting, and designing prototype hardware.Collaboration and Coordination:Strong ability to interface with team members from various disciplines (mechanical, thermal, systems, AEH/SW).Experience in coordinating with other engineering disciplines and departments to ensure overall system requirements are met.Key Responsibilities:
Design and Development:Capture schematics and select components to meet design specifications.Design electrical equipment, components, products, and systems for aerospace and defense.Prepare schematics, bills of materials, printed circuit boards, wiring harness, and assembly drawings.Use computer-assisted engineering software for design and engineering tasks.Testing and Verification:Support design development and verification test tools.Prepare verification test procedures for performance across power and temperature environments.Test, debug, document, and design prototype hardware.Determine methods, procedures, and conditions for testing products.Prepare in-process and final acceptance test procedures for production hardware.Collaboration and Coordination:Review customer specifications and develop system requirements with team members.Interface with team members from other disciplines (mechanical, thermal, systems, AEH/SW).Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and departments.Coordinate with quality assurance to support production and required procedures.Coordinate with purchasing and manufacturing planners to support obsolescence issues.Direct and coordinate repair assistance for production and field returns.Coordinate and prepare engineering change notices (ECN) per configuration management standards.Compliance and Standards:Ensure design meets electrical and environmental requirements.Familiarity with aerospace industry specifications (RTCA/DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-HDBK-704, MIL STD-461, MIL-STD-464).Ensure manufacturing procedures, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to specifications.Direct and coordinate operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in field installations.Leadership and Direction:Design and direct engineering personnel in the fabrication of test control apparatus and test support equipment.Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (B.S.) from an accredited four-year college or university; or an Electrical Engineering Technology degree with a minimum of 2 years of related experience.Technical Skills:Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers.Salary: $95,000 - $115,000 Annually

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $53.00/hr.
