Electrical Engineer
**Posting Title:** Electrical Engineer – PE (Engineer of Record) **Reports To:** Engineering Manager **Location:** Roseville, California, Hybrid Onsite 3 days a week **Salary Range:** $118,499 to $155,400 Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, education and experience. Because what we do here is important, but how we do it is everything. **THE ENGINEERING TEAM** With an in-house team of electrical engineers, designers, VDC coordinators and CAD operators, our resources rival those of standalone engineering firms. We are a true provider of turnkey electrical solutions—from design to delivery. As a part of this department, you can expect to work closely with our project management and field installation teams to streamline the construction process. **ABOUT THE ROLE** Engineer Level 4: A fully competent engineer in the subject matter or the functional areas of the assignments. Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, and adaptation or modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria. Devises new approaches to problems. Requires professional experience to assure competence as a professional. Independently performs assignments with instructions as to the general results expected. Receives technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and supervisory approval for projects. Includes responsibilities and tasks outlined in Engineer Levels 1 – 3. Supervisory Responsibilities: + May supervise other Engineers, Designers or CAD/BIM drafters on assigned work Essential Job Functions: + Perform design tasks assigned by Lead or Supervising Engineers + Perform complete construction documents to include drawings and specifications/documentation + Reviews design and follows QAQC processes through the design phase + Technical resource to other Engineers, Designers, Estimators and Project Managers + Professional responsibility that construction documents meet applicable codes + Responsible for design coordination with Project manager that design documents meet project scope requirements Other Functions: + Perform engineering calculations and proficient with power study software + Attend internal and external meetings - architect, MEP, GC, Owner coordination + Maintain technical development goals and continuing education credits + Mentor Designers + Obtain Professional Development and Training Other Responsibilities: + Implement the Engineering department's Design and CAD workflows among team + Interact and coordinate with CEI's inter-department staff and managers supporting their agenda + Coordinate with CAD Manager for CAD support for project + Perform Power studies and provide mentorship to Designers + Apply complete conformance of State and NEC CODES to documents + Provide Conformance to the Standards and processes outlined by the CAD/BIM Manager **Knowledge:** Having wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. Some barriers to entry exist at this level (e.g., dept/peer review). **Job Complexity:** Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise. **Supervision:** Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel (Team Lead). **ABOUT YOU** + Basic Microsoft Office applications, AutoCAD - MEP/REVIT - Etap/SKM (desired) + Good time management, communication and people skills **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS** _Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying._ **Education:** Electrical Engineering degree **Licensure/Certifications:** Professional Engineer's license State of California **Experience:** 3-5 years working for an electrical design firm or design build electrical contractor _\#LI-AA1_ **PLEASE NOTE:** CEI will never ask for any money or financial information from applicants during the hiring process.
