Job Title: Electrical Machine Design EngineerJob Description The Electrical Machine Design Engineer will design, program, debug, and support automated systems and automation equipment for production. The engineer will provide electrical design input and assist in concept and development efforts within the facility, involving infrastructure, programming, or design. Extensive skills in PLC, Robot, Human Machine Interface (HMI), and electrical controls are necessary. The successful candidate will offer troubleshooting assistance on all electrical and/or controls equipment to resolve issues and gather data. Responsibilities + Design, program, debug, and support automated systems and automation equipment for production. + Provide electrical design input and assist in concept and development efforts. + Troubleshoot and resolve issues on all electrical and/or controls equipment. + Collaborate with management, machine operators, supervisors, and other engineers. + Set standards for new control equipment. + Learn and apply project management skills. Essential Skills + 5+ years of experience working as a controls engineer or in a related role. + Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or Mechatronics. An associate's degree in an engineering field with equivalent experience can be considered. + Analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. + Formal training or extensive experience in PLCs (Siemens, OMRON CJ & NJ), Robot (RC8), and AutoCAD Electrical. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with AutoCAD Electrical. + Project management skills. + Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision. Work Environment The position is based in an office setting in Maryville, with minimal travel to other plants in the south sub-region. The company offers holiday and vacation benefits.
